Marina di Bibbona, Blue Flag

Marina di Bibbona is one of the most renowned and appreciated seaside resorts of the Etruscan coast, it is built around the 18th-century Fort constructed to defend the coast from pirate raids. The coast is characterised by a wide sand beach dotted with Mediterranean scrub, backed by natural dunes with many Juniper and Tamarisk trees that serve as a boundary between the sea and the luxuriant pine wood, a triumph of nature and unspoiled surroundings. The equipped beaches with bathing establishments alternate with so-called "Punti Azzurri", areas of public beach where you can enjoy the sea freely, carving out a small corner of tranquillity. For those, however, who are looking for a more active holiday, Bibbona also offers many opportunities to practice sports and activities related to the sea. For anyone who spends a holiday here, however, it is a must to taste the typical fresh seafood cuisine made from local produce.
Bolgheri, between wine and tradition

Right at the end of the famous Viale dei Cipressi is the small village of Bolgheri, also made famous by Giosué Carducci, one of the greatest Italian writers, who stayed here for the decade 1838-1848. The land rises from a belt of Mediterranean vegetation and is connected to Castagneto Carducci by the "Via Bolgherese", a magnificent route known for the presence of fine vines that earned it the nickname "Wine Route". The majestic Arco del Castello leads the visitor to discover the oldest medieval village, where the atmosphere is that of another era, with narrow streets, small squares and artisan shops where you can discover the local specialities.
Castagneto Carducci, alleyways and poetry

A few kilometres from the sea, surrounded by the Tuscan countryside, Castagneto Carducci is located on a hill overlooking a landscape of incomparable beauty. It can best be appreciated from the natural terraces and the charming views that follow in succession along the narrow streets of its medieval village, built around the Castello dei Della Gherardesca, constructed in 1000. Here, too, the streets in the centre are paved paths, dotted with restaurants and small shops where you can find the best of tradition, both in terms of craftsmanship and typical products. Not to be missed are the Palazzo Pretorio, of great historical interest and now the Town Hall, the Church of San Lorenzo and the Church of SS. Crocifisso which houses a precious wooden crucifix of the fifteenth century. Castagneto Marittimo was the original name of this charming village, it became the current Castagneto Carducci in honour of the poet Giosué who spent part of his life in the area. The house where he lived is now a beautiful museum with numerous testimonies.
Bibbona, between history and nature

The natural environment surrounding Bibbona is a succession of woodlands and countryside of great charm, framing this ancient village of the Cecina Valley in a unique way. Above all the magnificent forest of Macchia of Magona is a natural protected paradise, criss-crossed by paths and trails that lead to the discovery of a Biogenetic Oasis and amazing Mediterranean vegetation. The whole area is immersed in green from the olive trees, to the fruit trees and precious vines. The Wine Route of the Etruscan Coast also starts from Bibbona and leads to the discovery of the best DOC wines.
Casale Marittimo, between hills and the Middle Ages

Just 12 kilometres from the coast, but already in the province of Pisa, Casale Marittimo dominates the surrounding countryside due to its strategic location. The ancient medieval village is, in fact, on a hill overlooking the Val di Cecina, providing residents and tourists with magical views of the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago and Corsica. Already a castle and the main centre of the area under the Counts of Gherardesca, Casale Marittimo preserves the authenticity of the past, characterised by the preservation of its history and the defence of an environmental heritage of great prestige. There are countless typical places, including restaurants and shops, where you can taste and buy the products characteristic of the Valley of the river Cecina.
